Untitled , Corridor

A plaster corridor crosses the space of the 19 HaYarkon Gallery. It offers a view of the sea to homes where the seascape view had been appropriated for the benefit of hotel construction. As one stands near the eastern wall on the second floor of the 19 HaYarkon Gallery, there is but one single viewpoint from where one can see the sea. We mark a line that begins with a view from a window of an apartment building opposite which a hotel has been constructed, penetrating through the window into the exhibition space, crossing it, and continuing toward the sea. The activity appropriates the area crossing the space and cancels its designation as an exhibition space. The two walls that delimit the area physically creates the presence of the sea in favor of the buildings the hotel building has blocked.

The work was created in cooperation with Noa Gross.
